The children in P5, P6 and P7 are using the Accelerated Reader (AR) Programme. This is a computer program that helps the teachers manage and monitor the children's independent reading practice. Children using AR choose their own books to read, rather than have one assigned to them. This makes reading a much more enjoyable experience as they can choose books that are interesting to them.
We are delighted that four pupils have read more than one million words since September. An impressive achievement! One pupil in P5 has even read more than two million words. Well done!!
