Dear Parent,
I write to you about the planned strike action being taken by teaching unions and other unions in Northern Ireland and its impact on our school. A full day strike is planned for Thursday 18th January 2024.
As a result, the school will be closed to all pupils on this day
Please note that normal teaching timetable day continues on Friday 19 January 2024.
Clearly this is a difficult situation which will cause some disruption, but I would ask for your understanding. A strike action is highly unusual and is not something that any staff member would undertake lightly.
