‘Medics in Primary schools’ with P7
The P7 children were chosen to take part in a programme with Queens University called ‘Medics in Primary schools.’ We were very fortunate to have a weekly session with 2nd year medical student, Eva Mc Bride. Eva provided us with the main aim of the programme which was to enrich the teaching and learning of health education in primary schools. Many areas were covered over the 10 week session, including the brain, the heart, the lungs and the skin.
We also studied the digestive, nervous and circulatory systems and the relationship between healthy diet and the development of pupils’s bodies.
We thank Eva very much for the fun and interactive weekly lessons and we have definitely learnt so much from her.
