I am organising a DKMS Donor Drive in school on Saturday 16th November from 10am to 4pm. I don't know if you know anything about DKMS so I have attached some information. It is our hope that many people from all around the area will come forward and swab so they can go onto the DKMS Stem Cell Register and maybe save a life!
DKMS is not very well known in this area and I would like to ask you if it would be possible to advertise this event in your school and also on your school social media/website.
An interesting fact is that people can go online to obtain a swab kit, but each kit costs the NHS £40 and less than 50% of people send it back! This is why Donor Drives are so important. Blood cancer can come to any home and it would be so good if this was well supported!
