Today the children, staff and parent volunteers were extremely busy! First the boys and girls went off to enjoy their sponsored walk around Kilbroney Park being led by Mrs McManus and Miss McAteer. On their return they then enjoyed the fabulous fun day activities organised by the PTA, bouncy castles, plenty of games and even ice cream and slushies and finished off with a wonderful party bag to take home. They also enjoyed a fun party box chicken nugget meal for their lunch and were luckily able to eat outside today. Mrs McManus also worked with the children to help them plant sun flower seeds which were provided by the Cancer fund for children in their pack. The parents also enjoyed refreshments in the hall and were able to watch the recent concert which was held in March to celebrate the schools 25th anniversary. Both parents, children and staff then enjoyed some celebratory cake 🍰.
It was a fantastic day of fun for all and the PTA were able to raise over £1000 for the school purchase of iPads and £200 for the Cancer Fund for Children. Thanks to our hard working parents and staff for making the day so successful for the children.
