Today we said goodbye and farewell to our lovely P7 boys and girls plus two staff members Mrs Loy and Mr McConnell. We held a special assembly and were entertained by P3&4 singing and dancing to Don’t stop believing followed by P1-3 singing and dancing to So Long Farewell from the film The Sound of Music.
The children gave Mr Mc Connell and Mrs Loy some special gifts they had made and the P7’s got a laminated poster of recent newspaper clippings. They’re already making the news on a weekly basis!!
We finished assembly off with each pupil giving the P7’s a high five on the way out of the hall. Then at home time the P7s received a guard of honour and were clapped and cheered out of the school yard. We wish the P7’s the best of luck as they move onto their Post Primary Schools. They will most certainly be missed by everyone in Kilbroney.
We will also miss Mr Mc Connell and Mrs Loy who were both in the school for two years. We wish them the best of luck as they move onto pastures new.
