Barnabas Award
31st Jan 2025
Today we welcomed Allan back into school to give out our very first Barnabas Award to a KS1 child.
Allan spoke to the children about the five key areas: Being good, gracious, generous, glad and God-loving. He focused today on the story of 'The Good Samaritan' and talked about how we can be good and kind to each other in school and at home.
The P1-4 teachers found it extremely hard to choose their winner but have spent the last few weeks and months observing the children and trying to see who best shows the true values of both Barnabas and KIPS. Therefore today they went for Sarah Boyle in P4. Congratulations to Sarah who now goes home today with the Award and is the first pupil to get her name engraved on the trophy. She also gets to keep the trophy until Easter. Well done again to Sarah.
Allan will return in June to award the Barnabas Award to a KS2 pupil, so we look forward to this.
