We have been learning about water in class.

Where does it come from? Why do we need it? Where can we find it? What can it mix with? What can it not mix with? What are its states?

Suggested Activities:

• Mixing small amounts of water with food colouring and adding drops to an oil(cooking oil or baby oil). They do not mix because they are immiscible - see video attached

• Making Ice- pouring water into ice cube trays and freezing. Watching and monitoring how the water changes as it becomes colder. Changing from a solid to a liquid. *diluted juice could be added to some for a fun tasty treat.
